Kristina Paulsen, MA, LPCC

Beginning therapy can feel vulnerable and it often takes a great deal of courage. Whether you're feeling uncertain, overwhelmed, or simply curious about the process, you're welcome here.

My work is grounded in a relational, person-centered approach, rooted in genuine human connection. I believe that the therapeutic relationship itself can be a powerful space for healing, one built on trust, honesty, and mutual respect. You don’t need to have it all figured out. This is a space where you can bring your full self, speak freely, and explore what matters most to you, at your own pace.

In our work together, I’ll meet you with curiosity, compassion, and a willingness to gently explore both what’s being said and what might be just beneath the surface. I may reflect patterns I notice, ask thoughtful questions like, “What’s happening for you right now?” or simply hold space when something feels heavy. At times, I’ll name the pain or complexity I hear, not to pathologize it, but to honor it.

As a therapist, I bring not only my training and experience, but also my humanity. I don’t believe in a top-down, expert-knows-best approach. Therapy is a collaborative process, a partnership. It is a deep honor to walk alongside my clients in this work, and I strive to meet each person with warmth, respect, and an open heart.

If you're looking for a space where you can be met with care, authenticity, and without judgment, I invite you to reach out.
